So you would like to propose your content for publication. That’s excellent news!
Please read the notes below to ensure you provide us with what we need and how we need it.
By submitting content, you agree to our terms and conditions, which you can review here.
General guidelines
Although we don’t have set rules for choosing projects and content, we generally search for unique, innovative, newsworthy content that integrates with our curatorial line and has a compelling backstory and excellent photos.
You can submit two types of content:
- Articles, stories, reviews
- Productions and scenographic projects (theatre, dance, architectural, museum, spatial, fashion, costume, light, and others)
Please read further for specifications.
1. Submit an article, a story, a critical review
We welcome articles from professionals and experts on the themes:
- Scenography theory and practice
- Management in the field
- Sustainability in the field
- Visions for the future
- Co-creation in scenic design
and other themes that might be relevant. As we are a very visual publication, writing should be accompanied by an adequate number of photographs or visuals. Before submitting work, kindly review our copyright policy.

Process
If we like the photos and/or what we read, we’ll get in touch. We might not respond to you immediately, so please allow a few weeks. Sending us an occasional reminder is all right as we sometimes oversee things.
Movies
Send in any movies you have that are related to your project or story. We might upload submitted movies to our channels (mainly Facebook and Instagram). We might modify movies, but we’ll first get your “ok”.
Sketches and technical drawings
Please include sketches and drawings of your project if you can. They are pretty popular with our readers and educational for our audience.
Exclusivity
Content given to us exclusively has a higher chance of being published. Please include in your submissions email if you are giving us an exclusive.
Please provide us with project credits. Particularly for the pictures. Although we are rarely able to pay for photos, we always provide credit and are happy to share links and complete copyright information when necessary. Please note that you must ensure that all the material you provide has the owner’s consent. See our submissions terms and conditions for more details.
Sharing
Please share your project widely on social media, newsletters, your website, and other platforms once we have published it. Your project will benefit from more traffic and interest.
We appreciate you sending us your content for Scenography Today.
